No matters arising.

3) Pantomime

Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, 12 – 16 February
• Rehearsals are going ahead.
• Currently somewhat short on backstage crew, particularly regarding paintining.
• We will put out plea for more help, asking people to contact Rebecca to help backstage.  Lori is putting out a pantomime newsletter.  Also, will go out in Friends newsletter, and we wil ask for note in school letters.
• Poster competition: Will be mentioned in the newsletter.  Contributions need to be in by Monday 21st January.
• Tickets: Agreed that would start to sell them on Wednesday 30 January.  Both of these need to be mentioned in school newsletter, and on parentmail.  Carol to ask Gill Coke to mention in Friday’s newsletter.
• Ticket Prices:  Tuesday: Adult - £4 Child £2
 Wed & Thursday : Adult - £5 Child £2.50
Friday and Sat:    Adult: £6 Child: £3
• Friday matiné is at 5pm
• Saturday shows: 2pm and 5.30pm.
• All other times: 7pm
• Raffle: Director wants a short, sharp draw for this.  Suggestion: Should we buy some prizes, such as boxes of celebrations, which would mean that don’t have to ask parents.
• Publicity: A former pupil is in the West End musical, ‘Dirty Dancing’, and is happy to do a photoshoot with the cast, for publicity.  The date for this needs to be fixed with Cecilia and Ellie McDaid.
• Front of House: Being looked after by key reps from Year 1.  This will include organising ticket sales.  Point raised that it is important for Junior and Infant sellers to liaise with each other, to prevent tickets running out on one side.
• Programme: This should have advertising in it.  Is in hands of Ellie McDaid.  Suggested that good advertising targets are children’s parties, Stagecoach and other performing arts bodies.

4) Auction of Promises

Friday 28 March (date to be fully confirmed)
• Being organised by Years 5, 1 and Nursery (NB: Post meeting, Carol confirmed that she was handing this mainly to Year 1 and Nursery because Year 1 will have worked very hard on the Pnatomime Front of House sales).
• Monday 28 Jan: Carol to attend Infant Class Rep to go through Front of House plans.
• Prizes:  Point made that this should not be elitist.  Prizes can range from offering baby-sitting service to more Pir
• Price: Agreed £7 a ticket.  This includes the event and food (not any alcohol)
• Discussed whether we should give a free table to the teaches? Discussed, positive feeling towards this, but no firm agreement.
• Sponsorship Boards outside houses
• Oliver Finn, the estate agent who sponsored the Christmas Fair and who proved extremely prompt and helpful, are sponsoring the pantomime.  Carol has asked all those who had a board before if they would do so again.
• Banner: Some discussion as to what the banner should say.  Strong feeling that the word ‘school’ should be included and that externally, the word ‘friends’ is less important.  However, we have to make sure people don’t assume that the school children are not the performers.  Believe we agreed:
• ‘Strand Panto
• This Week
• Strand on the Green School’

5) Summer Fiar

Sat 14 June
• Cecilia to attend next Infant and Junior meetings, to run through stalls.
• Louise Martin put forward a range of ‘green’ ideas.  Received very positively.  Louise will e-mail Cecilia & Carol with these, so that they can be looked at, discussed and heopfully incorporated into new plans.  Action: Louise
• We need to find somewhere to have displays, i.e. further to Chiswick School
• See if Chiswick School Steel band could perform, Carol to talk to Chris, the head of Music at Chiswick School.

6) Class List

Carol is checking the how current our contact sheets are.  Suggestion: Could Class Reps gather last year’s, to check with new, fellow parents and add in change of necessary.

7) AOB

Thai Meal: We should make a school visit to the Thai restaurant a termly feature.  Cecilia will organise, aiming for approx 16 people as max number.  Date: Thursday 13 March.   Action: Cecilia
